Like many of you, I assume, my patterned paper "collection" is OUT OF CONTROL!! When deciding what colors to pick for images, I always find the paper I want to use first. Too many times I have colored an image, only to find out I have no paper that matches. Lessons learned I guess.
For this card I used GinaK's "How sweet it is! " set. This piece of cake is becoming one of my favorites. Do you see how the ribbon is a perfect match? That is because I used the Copic markers on them as well. I started with solid white grosgrain ribbon, then used the broad tip on my Copic sketch markers to color the ribbon. What I love about this tip besides the matching part, is that it acts as stiffener. It makes adding adhesive to the ribbon much easier. The ribbon can be *worked* so that it softens and ties a nice bow. The matching brad...you guessed it...colored with a Copic as well.
The layout for this card is a case of a card that Pam Hooten did a year of so ago. I have used it many times for different occasions. You can see her original card here. Thanks Pi!! I love the little clippy sentiment!! Enjoy!
