Speed Stamping!!

A group of online friends had a speed stamping weekend. Five card layouts were posted and as LZ would say...we were to "Get 'er Done"! I decided to make four of my five layouts with Bella's. I chose my colors for this card based on my patterned paper, although hard to tell. The orange in the paper is covered by the image. I LOVE these color together!! Copic markers were used to color Bella! Have a great rest of the day!! Enjoy!

Facelift

I Otter Be Stamping needed a little face lift! My good friend Bethie so graciously obliged!!! Freckled Fun Designs is awesome to work with...I told her what colors, theme, and font I wanted...and PRESTO!! Awesome Bethie!!! I love it!! Thank you so much!! Need your own blog face lift? Chunky Glitter

I FINALLY got to go to an upline meeting. It has been several months of conflicts. Finally I got to go...and I am glad I did. Mel had chunky glitter for us to play with. SU! brought this out with their new catty. I have to say...I like it! Mel posed a card challenge to us, using sticky cuts and chunky glitter. Winner would receive a pack of Metallic Brushed Gold Cardstock. Woo Hoo!! I won!!

For this card, I used an old Sketch of Beate's. The flower is from the Sticky Cuts sheet. A note of caution...this is not two sided!!! You must stick the white layer down to your card first (using adhesive of choice), and then peel of the red liner. I made the mistake of putting on the white glitter first. I ended up picking black glitter out of the white!! I don't think the white would have shown on the black as much. Enjoy!!!

Just Hatched

Since we recieved about 5 inches of snow in less than 3 hours, I shut myself in my basement and played with a few new things!! I know that's no where near the quantities alot of you see...but here in central Ohio...that's like 12 feet!! LOL!

I just love this little chick from Stampendous. To color the egg I used the technique Painted Pearls. Beate has a great tutorial for this technique HERE. I have one Aquapainter dedicated to Future Floor Wax, that way it is always available. The chick itself is colored with Water Color Wonder Crayons and an aquapainter. I'm not sure about the white outline. I wanted to hopefully make her "pop" alittle, but I'm not sure I achieved that. LOL!

Make a Wish!!

When GinaK announced that her newest Stamp for a Cause set was going to benefit JDRF and the ADA, I knew I *had* to get it. My sweet little Jillian was diagnosed with diabetes alittle over three years ago, at the tender age of two. So young to be afflicted with this horrible disease. Even being a nurse, did not prepare me for the plan that lie ahead. I've learned alot in the past three years. Most importantly I've learned that my little "Jillybean" is one tough little girl. She makes me so proud.




Now to the card...

These images from "How Sweet it is!" are sooooo fun to color. I wanted something bright and cheery. I love how this one turned out. I used my copic markers. I just got a "few" more from Joy and Daisy. The icing has some sparkle to it, from the Spica Pens, but that doesn't show very well. The sentiment on this card is from the "Birthday Turtle" set by Inky Antics.

62 Hearts!!!

Sixty-two 3x6" pieces of cardstock, sixty-two pieces of patterned paper, sixty-two punched hearts, and sixty-two tied bows!! That's what it took to get the kids school valentines finished!! Kristina Werner showed these cute little valentines on her blog. She stamped hearts and cut them out...I opted for even easier...punched hearts!! I hadn't done 3x3 cards prior to seeing her post. I love them!! So quick and easy!! I hope you enjoy!

I'm sooooo tired of rain. I know it's not the severe weather some of you experienced yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to those affected by the storms.

I am going for bright cheer colors today. This is a card I made using the "My Friend Ronnie" line of stamps from Inky Antics. Joy and Daisy carry her at eP. She was so fun to color. I have not been able to put my copic markers down. They are by far, my color medium of choice now. I am having alittle stampers guilt though...my solid image stamps are being negleted. Anyone else feel that way? After I added the present, I thought it looked like Ronnie was *dreaming* of gifts. LOL

Oh well...off to the first round of school pickups!! Have a fantabulous day!!

Paper Hearts

I soooo love this little image by American Art Stamps. I received her from an image swap with friends. We have done this every so often to "try before your buy"! I don't know if it is helpful or detrimental to my budget?!? LOL!! I colored her using copic markers. The patterened paper is sprayed with Glimmer Mist purchased from eP! Of course that is difficult to see in the picture. Ribbon is May Arts purchased from Cindy at Starlitstudio

What is everyone going to do for the game tomorrow? Will everyone be stamping? I have a class to teach. I am going to wager a bet that most mom's will come solo!!! My DH is watching a rerun of the '72 Dolphins in the Superbowl. Obsessed, I tell ya!! He has been rooting against New England all season!! To be nice...I will end this post with Go Giants!!
